If you are looking for a bit of adventure whilst staying with us, why not book on to one of our outdoor activities in partnership with In Your Element. Every Saturday, guests and visitors to Loch Lomond Waterfront, Balmaha, can participate in canoeing or archery on the lochside.

Loch Lomond and Islands Canoe Safari

This fun, flatwater canoeing activity takes place on world-famous Loch Lomond departing from the waterfront lodges on the east shore, in the pretty village of Balmaha. After a quick safety briefing, you’ll head off onto the loch under the watchful eyes of our experienced local guide. Learn about the loch and its legends as you go. During the experience, you’ll not only take in some amazing scenery, but you’ll also learn basic paddling skills and take part in some fun games out on the water – full-on fun!

  • Duration: 1.5 hours
  • Price: 6 years and over £30/5-15 years £20
  • When: Saturday 10am or 11:45
  • Minimum age: 5 years (under 12s must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Minimum number of participants: 2
  • Maximum number of participants: 10
  • Requirements: must be water confident and a sense of adventure is beneficial
  • What to bring: suitable clothing for weather conditions (it can get blustery out on the loch so always bring an extra layer)

Loch Lomond Archery

Discover your inner Robin Hood! This skillful sport requires balance, poise, accuracy, timing, and vision. It also gives a great sense of satisfaction – especially when you hit the bullseye! Start with some basic skills coaching, then quickly progress onto fun archery games and maybe a little competition…

  • Duration: 1-3 hours
  • Price: 6 years and over £30/5-15 years £20
  • When: Saturdays at 2pm
  • Minimum age: 7 years (under 12s must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Minimum number of participants: 2
  • Maximum number of participants: 12
  • What to bring: long-sleeved top and long hair must be tied back
