Perch Café and Restaurant at Loch Lomond Waterfront

Currently Closed – we hope to reopen later this year. Perch is our relaxed, friendly café and restaurant at Loch Lomond Waterfront. Serving up proper wholesome food made with love. We specialise in delicious brunches, lunches and homemade cakes. Located in Balmaha, on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond, Perch is the perfect place to stop and re-energise while out exploring the local sights and attractions. Please note the Perch is closed.

Perch with us

Perch is open to both Loch Lomond Waterfront residents and non-residents. We are a family-friendly and dog-friendly café and restaurant. So after a busy day, come and perch with us!

We provide delicious, rustic food in an informal, easy-going atmosphere. There’s also a licenced bar, serving alcoholic and soft drinks. We don’t mind if your boots (or paws) are muddy. Everyone’s welcome around our table.

Brunches and Lunches

We offer tasty dishes for all the family, from light bites to hearty meals. Using locally sourced produce and making as much as we can right here. Our Specials of the Week include waffles and pancakes, soups and tarts. Plus there’s a kids menu for our “little perchers”.

Cakes and Treats

Whether you’re after a relaxed tea or coffee and homemade cake, or an indulgent afternoon tea, we have a tasty treat for you!

Our afternoon teas come with a selection of sandwiches, savoury canapés, cakes and scones and pots of tea. Add a G&T or glass of bubbles to really spoil yourself.

Dog Friendly Restaurants on Loch Lomond

Oh, and we are also one of the few dog friendly restaurants on loch lomond. So, bring your four-legged friend along for some R&R with the family. And not only will we provide you with a water bowl, but we sell doggie ice cream too!

    'The location is outstanding - right on the edge of Loch Lomond with private water frontage and beaches. As a location for exploring, again this rates very highly. We easily accessed central Glasgow by train from nearby Balloch and also explored Stirling (particularly the castle and Wallace memorial), the Falkirk Wheel and even Perth and Pitlochry by car. It is a very peaceful place, which can only be disturbed on occasion by your neighbours but with the Slumber Charter in place, we had absolutely no problems overnight.'
