Here at Loch Lomond Waterfront, we are so lucky to have the spectacular Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park right on our doorstep. This stunning national park has a fascinating geology. A place where the Highlands and Lowlands of Scotland meet. There are mountains to the north and rolling hills to the south. Various geology trails are available to explore the development of the area over millions of years. 

With its varied terrain, including forests, mountains, glens and lochs, it attracts an abundance of Scottish wildlife. Look out for eagles, red kite, deer, red squirrels, pine marten, badgers and so much more. Whatever time of year you choose to visit, there will be something for you to see. 

Walking, Cycling and Outdoor Activities

Horse riding near Loch Lomond

Sometimes the best way – perhaps the only way – to see areas of Loch Lomond is on a horse or pony. There are pony trekking opportunities in the area that will let you see the loch from a unique perspective. Experienced guides will help you around and make sure you get the most out of your day. Some also offer jumping and riding lessons too.
