Whether you’re driving, taking the train or flying to our Loch Lomond location, we are very easy to get to. Read on past the map below and you will find directions, transfers and solutions for each mode of travel. Just a short drive away, Glasgow is our nearest International Airport and transfers, private cars and taxis are readily available. Plus, car hire companies are abundant at the airport. And if you don’t want to drive, we work with several tour operators who can whip you off up to the Highlands, over to Edinburgh and the Kelpies, or on castle hopping tours. Not forgetting the many boat taxis and tours to enjoy on Loch Lomond from your doorstep.

We are located in Balmaha village in Stirlingshire, just 26 miles from the city of Stirling. With good transport links and close to two international airports, it’s easy to get here from all around the world. Glasgow International Airport is only 45 minutes from our doors, whilst Edinburgh International Airport is just over an hour’s drive away. The postcode for your sat nav is G63 0JQ
By car
We have plenty of private, secured parking on site, and guarantee one free parking space outside your lodge or chalet per booking, for those travelling by car. Additional cars may be parked in our main car park free of charge. For those staying in our shepherd’s huts and Studaio Lodges, if you park in the main car park. This is close to your accommodations. By taxi or private chauffeur
Taxis are readily available from the airports, but a cheaper way to travel to us is via a pre-booked taxi or private chauffeur. We can recommend the following local services. For reliable taxi and mini bus services that can accommodate 1 to 16 passengers, along with a large luggage capacity. They also run an airport transfer service to Glasgow, Prestwick, Edinburgh and further afield.

By train
The nearest train station is Balloch (12 miles). From Balloch, there are local bus services to Balmaha, or you can take a taxi, which will take around 20 minutes. You can plan your train route via Scotrail or Trainline.
By air
Our two closest international airports are Glasgow (26 miles) and Edinburgh (57 miles). Car hire options are available at both airports. More information can be found on the Glasgow Airport Car Hire website.
Our Loch Lomond Holiday Resort in Scotland
Near the village of Balmaha, in the heart of Scotland. Our quiet and peaceful resort has 11 spacious holiday lodges and chalets, each sleeping 2 to 6 guests, with private hot tubs. We also have 3 heated shepherd’s huts for luxury glamping, sleeping 2 guests per hut. All set within 18 acres of exclusive grounds, which include our own private beach. Our lodges and chalets are family-friendly, and we have a choice of pet-friendly and pet-free accommodation.

We are on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond, part of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Loch Lomond is the largest loch or lake in Britain by surface area. It contains many small islands, and there are plenty of adventures to be had on the water. There are several lovely villages and towns in the local area. Plus the cities of Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh are all nearby. Whether you’re into walking, history, nature, whisky, golf, water sports or shopping, there’s something for you. This is also a very family-friendly area with lots of family activities and adventures right on our doorstep.
