Things to do in Arnprior

Arnprior is around a 20-minute drive from Loch Lomond Waterfront. Don’t be fooled by how small this village is. It has lots of enterprising things happening! So, here are some of our favourite things to do in and around Arnprior.

Places to visit in Arnprior

Arnprior Farm is a very proactive farm in the area and famous for its pumpkins! Here you can get involved with lambing, hire their eco swimming pool. And yes, pick your own pumpkins in October. The village is also home to Steven Burgess Furniture and Interiors. Not your run of the mill furniture here, but unique, bespoke, hand-crafted pieces. It is well worth a visit to be inspired.

Take a road trip

Arnprior is part of a stretch of local villages, heading towards Stirling. They make for a great little road trip, starting at Loch Lomond Waterfront in Balmaha, then passing through Drymen, Balfron, Buchlyvie, Arnprior, Kippen and Gargunnock. Before reaching the city of Stirling. The drive takes about an hour, and there is much to see along the way.

The Loch Lomond area is a treasure trove of beautiful sites and attractions. So why not take a look at our guide to Loch Lomond villages, towns and cities, and plan your own road trip. You can also view our favourite local walks, historical sites, family adventures, outdoor activities and more in our extensive things to do section. Of course, if you need any help at all when planning your itinerary during your stay at Loch Lomond Waterfront, we’d be more than happy to help. Testimonials

  • Outstanding location

'The location is outstanding - right on the edge of Loch Lomond with private water frontage and beaches. As a location for exploring, again this rates very highly. We easily accessed central Glasgow by train from nearby Balloch and also explored Stirling (particularly the castle and Wallace memorial), the Falkirk Wheel and even Perth and Pitlochry by car. It is a very peaceful place, which can only be disturbed on occasion by your neighbours but with the Slumber Charter in place, we had absolutely no problems overnight.'
  • Wish we had longer

'The ducks were very amusing, each day they waddled around the lodges looking for food, we bought some duck food for them in the local village shop. We just wished we were here for longer and hope to return in the future.'
  • Outstanding

'Chef in a lodge was outstanding. The food was excellent as was the service. Superb evening.'
  • Right up there with the best

The facilities, quality of fixtures and fittings and the setting all add up to a superb holiday experience and one that I have no hesitation in recommending to anyone. Outstanding!'
