Designer Tours of Scotland

Build your own Designer Tours of Scotland

The best way to experience Scotland is through a tour. Not only will you get to see multiple historical sites, impressive scenery, natural wonders and more, but you can do so with the support and assistance of someone who knows exactly what’s what and where they’re going. There’s no getting lost, no finding something and wondering what it is – a tour is the most comprehensive and uncomplicated way to get to know Scotland.

When it comes to picking a tour, there are plenty of choices. One of which being Designer Tours of Scotland, who offer bespoke Scottish tour packages to best fit you and your group’s needs. These tours are perfect for a group holiday, a family trip, or even a nature-lover’s stag or hen-do.

How it works

Designer Tours have a number of pre-made tours that follow a rough path, or that have a list of sites. You can choose from this list, or you can completely craft a new tour with their help. If you choose a premade tour, you get to choose where the tour starts. From there the company will work with you to determine the total drive time, and which order you’re going to travel in.

You can also choose from the following:

  • Private access to luxury transport
  • Pick up and drop off
  • Fuel and parking charges
  • Personal audio systems
  • Free bottled water
  • A sweet treat
  • Umbrellas
  • A custom map for each guest

The price of the tours depends on how long you intend to travel for, and how many are travelling.

What tours do Designer Tours offer?

While you can design your own tour from scratch, Designer Tours has a few options already set up that are absolutely wonderful. For example:

Glorious Scotland

The Glorious Scotland scenic tour passes through truly stunning locations, ideal for Scottish souvenir selection and photography. The tour travels along Loch Lomond, heading west towards Arrochar, where you can choose to go for a walk to experience the views of the Arrochar Alps. It will then journey through the valley, onto Loch Fyne and Inveraray, before journeying east to Tyndrum.

There are optional walks dotted throughout the tour, and you can be collected from your location of choice anytime between 7.30am and 10am.

Scotland in TV and Film

Are you a film buff? A big Outlander fan? Then this tour is for you. It explores a range of TV and film locations in Scotland, exploring the real history behind the fictional tales we all know and love. The journey includes a visit to Blackness Castle from Outlander, Linlithgow Palace from Outlander, Bannockburn Centre, and even the site that made TV history as Winterfell in Game of Thrones. The tour ends with a visit to the resting place of Rob Roy.

The journey can start anytime between 7.30am and 10am, and you can be collected from a location of your choice.

Time Traveler Tour

For those who are big history fans, this tour is perfect. It is a trip through Scotland’s history, taking you back as far as 5,000 years ago, through the Roman invasion of Caledonia to the Wars of Independence and tales of Braveheart. You will visit Mary, Queen of Scots and follow the Jacobite Rebellion from the 1740s. The journey will provide you with an interesting insight into Scotland’s and plenty of photo opportunities.

You can start your time-travelling journey anytime between 7.30am and 10am.

Testimonials

  • The best wedding our guests had been to

'Everyone has said it was the best wedding they have been too and the venue and staff are very much to take credit for that!'
  • Outstanding location

'The location is outstanding - right on the edge of Loch Lomond with private water frontage and beaches. As a location for exploring, again this rates very highly. We easily accessed central Glasgow by train from nearby Balloch and also explored Stirling (particularly the castle and Wallace memorial), the Falkirk Wheel and even Perth and Pitlochry by car. It is a very peaceful place, which can only be disturbed on occasion by your neighbours but with the Slumber Charter in place, we had absolutely no problems overnight.'
  • Everything was more than perfect

'Everything was more than perfect, more than what we can ask for. And the view priceless, the whole stay was priceless, so thank you ever so much, hope to see you soon.'
  • We knew it would be perfect

'From our very first visit to this venue we knew that it was going to be perfect for our reception! The setting is magical, with enchanting views on even the most dreich of days. The staff are fantastic and so accommodating. We loved that we had so much flexibility over our choices, unlike at other venues! There was plenty of space within the private function rooms, which gave our guests plenty of room to socialise while hiding from the wet west coast weather on our big day! It was great not having to share our day with uninvited guests. The...
  • Wish we had longer

'The ducks were very amusing, each day they waddled around the lodges looking for food, we bought some duck food for them in the local village shop. We just wished we were here for longer and hope to return in the future.'
