Loch Lomond Shores

Loch Lomond Shores Shopping and Leisure Park

Just a 20-minute drive from here at Loch Lomond Waterfront, you’ll find Loch Lomond Shores. This shopping and leisure park in Balloch is a great place to hit the shops, grab a bite to eat or attend one of the markets or festivals on throughout the year.

Visiting Loch Lomond Shores

As the name suggests, the centre is located on the shores of Loch Lomond, with lovely views of the water and an abundance of nature and wildlife. There are two beaches, plenty of woodland and lots of routes for walking and biking nearby.

Parking is free and the centre is usually open 7 days a week (check opening hours here). It’s dog-friendly too, although each outlet has its own guidelines on dogs.

Shopping, Eating and Drinking

Loch Lomond Shores has its own Jenners (House of Fraser) department store, offering a range of items in fashion and accessories, beauty and fragrance, home and accessories. There are several smaller shops too. You can see the full list of shops here.

When you’re all shopped out, relax at one of the cafes, pubs and restaurants. Chocolate lovers will love the Thornton’s Café! Or, grab some takeaway food, such as hot dogs, waffles or churros.

Attractions, Events & Festivals

Twice a month, on the first and third Sunday, the Loch Lomond Market is open, with stalls selling fresh and local produce. This is also where Loch Lomond Springfest is held in April and The Loch Lomond Food and Drink Festival in September.

There are plenty of attractions and activities based here. Such as Loch Lomond Leisure outdoor activities, TreeZone Loch Lomond, Maid of the Loch boat trips, Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre and the Loch Lomond Sea Life Aquarium. Check out the list of attractions here.

Testimonials

  • Outstanding

'Chef in a lodge was outstanding. The food was excellent as was the service. Superb evening.'
  • Breathtaking views

'Where to start! We chose the waterfront for our wedding because of the absolutely breathtaking views, location and surroundings. You can't put a price on a view like that. We were planning a small intimate wedding for 28, mid week at the waterfront and living all the way down in Kent, organising could have been so difficult if it wasn't for Sheena the wedding coordinators help. Everything was organised to a fabulous standard and despite my millions of emails she didn't get sick of me and was happy to email pictures and explain thoroughly. We were so lucky to have...
  • Outstanding location

'The location is outstanding - right on the edge of Loch Lomond with private water frontage and beaches. As a location for exploring, again this rates very highly. We easily accessed central Glasgow by train from nearby Balloch and also explored Stirling (particularly the castle and Wallace memorial), the Falkirk Wheel and even Perth and Pitlochry by car. It is a very peaceful place, which can only be disturbed on occasion by your neighbours but with the Slumber Charter in place, we had absolutely no problems overnight.'
  • Our own private beach

'Just walking along the West Highland way path past some of the crowded beaches made us realise the value of having your own private waterfront onto the loch.  I can still picture walking down to the lochside on our first evening and watching an osprey dive for a fish!'
  • A fabulous time

'We, and all our family and friends, who stayed on site had a fabulous time and could not be more impressed with the lodges and the location!  There will definitely be some returning customers.'
