Strathendrick Golf Club

Visiting Strathendrick Golf Club

Willie Fernie of Troon designed the course at Strathendrick Golf Club in 1901. It’s situated on the undulating banks of the River Endrick. This is an excellent 9-hole undulating parkland course and receives lots of compliments on its upkeep, appearance and presentation. Open to visitors on certain days, but please book in advance. This is one of our closest golf courses, just 4 miles away from Loch Lomond Waterfront. So it’s great for a visit during your stay with us!

Course and facilities

The 9-hole parkland course offers plenty of challenges to test all levels of golfer. With breathtaking views of Ben Lomond and the picturesque Campsie Hills. The course dates from 1901, with updates made in 1905, and retains its historic features. In the 1990s and 2020s, trees were planted around the course to add interest and attract wildlife.

There is a small clubhouse at the 9th hole, which also dates from the early 1900s and is a listed building. Refreshments are served in the clubhouse, including drinks, soup and sandwiches and more substantial meals.

Visitors are welcome at Strathendrick on selected days. Please book in advance. The onsite team will start you off on the tee and can take your orders for refreshments.

Testimonials

  • Outstanding location

'The location is outstanding - right on the edge of Loch Lomond with private water frontage and beaches. As a location for exploring, again this rates very highly. We easily accessed central Glasgow by train from nearby Balloch and also explored Stirling (particularly the castle and Wallace memorial), the Falkirk Wheel and even Perth and Pitlochry by car. It is a very peaceful place, which can only be disturbed on occasion by your neighbours but with the Slumber Charter in place, we had absolutely no problems overnight.'
  • Outstanding

'Chef in a lodge was outstanding. The food was excellent as was the service. Superb evening.'
  • Thank you doesn't seem enough

'The food, service, timing of the day – everything was wonderful and exactly as planned!  From the day we first visited the venue we knew it was the perfect place for our reception and we definitely did not make the wrong choice.  Thank you just does not seem enough!'
  • Wish we had longer

'The ducks were very amusing, each day they waddled around the lodges looking for food, we bought some duck food for them in the local village shop. We just wished we were here for longer and hope to return in the future.'
  • Couldn't ask for a better day

'We wanted to thank you so very much for all the hard work which went on behind the scenes both in the lead up to, and on the day of, our wedding.  We could not have asked for a better day.  Everything was exactly how we wanted it to be and a lot of that is down to all the hard work of Sheena and your staff.  We have had so many compliments about how much everyone enjoyed our wedding.'
