Fishing tuition on Loch Lomond
Of all the reasons to visit Loch Lomond Waterfront – and there are plenty – one of the biggest is to spend some time fishing. The waters are deep and brimming with fish including brown trout, pike and even salmon. But if you’re new to fishing, all of this might seem a little overwhelming. How do you catch a fish on Loch Lomond? Where do you even start? Well the easiest way to get started is to book a session with professional fly-fishing instructor John Milne.
Fishing with John Milne
John Milne is Loch Lomond Waterfront’s resident fly-fishing instructor and he’s one of the best around. People come from all over to be guided by him, with teaching experience stretching back over 25 years. He’s been fishing for a lot longer than that though!
John is one of the few instructors in Scotland to hold the Scottish Game Angling Instructors Certificate (SGAIC). This is an advanced qualification for fly-fishing instructors. It requires first-aid knowledge, technical training on casting and teaching and a written assessment. He is also licensed, Insured and Accredited through the Scottish Anglers National Association (SANA).
Whether you are a complete beginner who has never held a fishing rod before, or an experienced caster looking to improve your game, John will patiently guide you to be the best you can. If you would like some tuition in a group, John is happy to help there too. Just get in touch with your requirements and we’ll take it from there. You can find out more about John Milne here.
