Blair Drummond Safari Park

Go Wild at Blair Drummond

Located just outside Stirling, around a 35-minute drive from here at Loch Lomond Waterfront, Blair Drummond Safari Park is a fantastic family day out. There’s the expected drive-through safari, with monkeys, lions and other large animals. But you can also visit all the animals in the park on foot! And with over 300 of them to see, from local farm animals to the rare and exotic, you’re in for a busy day! The park recommends at least 3 to 4 hours to see the main sights, but you can easily spend the whole day there with epic adventure play areas, rides, picnic benches, restaurants, and the option to book a full-size BBQ. It really is an action-packed, fun-filled family day out!

Safari Drive

After enjoying a day of playing, exploring and viewing amazing animals, its time to get in the car for the safari drive. This is where you can take your own vehicle through the Blair Drummond reserves. The drive takes around 30 minutes. Look out for creatures such as lions, rhinos, antelope, monkeys, camels and deer. This section can be driven multiple times if you choose. But before you do the drive, you can enjoy a full day of animals on foot.

Animal Viewing

In addition to the drive-through reserves, there is more plenty to see in the rest of the park. From penguins, rhinos, zebra’s giraffes, meerkats, lemurs, chimps and so so much more… Plus there are keeper talks and animal displays to enjoy. Including birds-of-prey displays and sea lion presentations. Plus super viewing platforms above core enclosures, and a walkway around a farm animal section. Whatsmore, you can now step back in time on a roaring, life-sized, dinosaur exhibition.

Adventure Play Park & Family Rides

For the children, the adventure play park is lots of fun. With an enormous fort for climbing, sliding, and running wild, to a pirate ship and a hidden fairyland wood. So the little ones can let off plenty of steam and let their imaginations run wild! Not to mention a swing park, slides and family fun rides for all to enjoy. So jump on board for a mini jeep safari, play in the mini bumpers, or test your head for heights on our giant humped slide.

Food and drink

And if you are hungry, Blair Drummond Safari has plenty of food stalls throughout the family attraction. And a food court, with plenty of places to grab hot or cold food and drinks. With burgers, pizzas, tacos, ice-creams, and sandwiches are all on offer. But if you’d prefer to bring your own, there are benches and spaces for picnics. You can also use the BBQs at the park – just ask on arrival.

Testimonials

  • A fabulous time

'We, and all our family and friends, who stayed on site had a fabulous time and could not be more impressed with the lodges and the location!  There will definitely be some returning customers.'
  • We'll definitely be back again

'I just wanted to thank you for such a lovely stay.  The lodge was beautiful and the facilities and views amazing.  We will definitely be back again.'
  • Breathtaking views

'Where to start! We chose the waterfront for our wedding because of the absolutely breathtaking views, location and surroundings. You can't put a price on a view like that. We were planning a small intimate wedding for 28, mid week at the waterfront and living all the way down in Kent, organising could have been so difficult if it wasn't for Sheena the wedding coordinators help. Everything was organised to a fabulous standard and despite my millions of emails she didn't get sick of me and was happy to email pictures and explain thoroughly. We were so lucky to have...
  • Outstanding location

'The location is outstanding - right on the edge of Loch Lomond with private water frontage and beaches. As a location for exploring, again this rates very highly. We easily accessed central Glasgow by train from nearby Balloch and also explored Stirling (particularly the castle and Wallace memorial), the Falkirk Wheel and even Perth and Pitlochry by car. It is a very peaceful place, which can only be disturbed on occasion by your neighbours but with the Slumber Charter in place, we had absolutely no problems overnight.'
  • A magical getaway

'It is not at all a surprise that you are fully booked.  If there is one place in the world we would like to be this summer, that place is Loch Lomond Waterfront Lodges, and I’m sure the only people who don’t share this passion are those, who simply have never been there. What a magical getaway and a retreat you have created! Thank you for that.'
