About Us

Luxury lodges on Loch Lomond

Our luxury lodges, on the banks of Loch Lomond are just 40 minutes’ drive from Glasgow Airport or just over an hour from Edinburgh Airport.

Set within 18 acres of private grounds, in a tranquil and wooded location with a private beach. Beside the picturesque village of Balmaha and just 8 minutes from a larger village, Drymen.

Nowhere else comes close

Our south facing accommodation benefits from wonderful panoramic views across the loch and our private beach offers guests direct access to the water’s front making us an ideal choice for sailors, canoeists and paddle boarders.

Described as “The best site for lodges in the whole of Scotland” by a famous hotelier.

Our dream

Our dream has been to build and run an intimate, five-star boutique accommodation business in the heart of Scotland. One that matches the most renowned operators, but on a scale that is personal and private. We wanted to avoid the corporate feel that so many hotels have these days, so that our guests can feel at home when they come to stay with us. That’s why we put as much thought into our living spaces as we have to our bedrooms. You’ll find our spacious kitchens equipped with large fridge freezers and dishwashers. Whilst there are separate utility areas for washer dryers. In Scotland, one thing we are not short of is space. And we wanted to bring that feeling into our lodges.

Our pride and joy

Our small, yet efficient team, is wedded to the same ideals of quality and service.  Many live on site so that we can respond quickly to our customers’ needs. Everyone feels that Loch Lomond Waterfront is their own pride and joy…  and that is the way we want to keep it.

Our friendly staff are always on hand if you need to be inspired by what there is to see and do in the area. We are always happy to recommend activities, restaurants and walks… and we have probably tried them all ourselves!

Quiet and tranquil

We think our site is the quietest and most tranquil around Loch Lomond. With just a handful of lodges nestled at the foot of the Conic Hill in the village of Balmaha, there is little coming and going so you won’t be disturbed.  And with 18 acres of private lochside grounds, including our own private beach, you can find space to do your own thing, unwind and live a slower paced life.

So come on and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Our team is here to welcome you.

Testimonials

  • An absolutely amazing wedding day

We had an absolutely amazing wedding day at Loch Lomond Waterfront. Lloyd and I loved getting married down at the water.  The sun shone the whole day which made it even more special. Our guests also loved the venue and how peaceful it was during our ceremony. It was lovely just listening to the water during the minister's prayers. Lloyd and I both loved the intimacy of the venue and the stunning scenery it had to offer. The transitions for each part of the day were so quick and smooth. Even the guests commented on how smoothly everything ran. Our...
  • A special place in our hearts

'Everyone has said it was the best wedding they have been too! We will definitely be back and the Waterfront will always have a very special place in our hearts.'
  • Right up there with the best

'We have travelled the world and stayed in all sorts of accommodation - Loch Lomond Waterfront is right up there with the best. The facilities, quality of fixtures and fittings and the setting all add up to a superb holiday experience and one that I have no hesitation in recommending to anyone. Outstanding!'
  • Outstanding location

'The location is outstanding - right on the edge of Loch Lomond with private water frontage and beaches. As a location for exploring, again this rates very highly. We easily accessed central Glasgow by train from nearby Balloch and also explored Stirling (particularly the castle and Wallace memorial), the Falkirk Wheel and even Perth and Pitlochry by car. It is a very peaceful place, which can only be disturbed on occasion by your neighbours but with the Slumber Charter in place, we had absolutely no problems overnight.'
  • Breathtaking views

'Where to start! We chose the waterfront for our wedding because of the absolutely breathtaking views, location and surroundings. You can't put a price on a view like that. We were planning a small intimate wedding for 28, mid week at the waterfront and living all the way down in Kent, organising could have been so difficult if it wasn't for Sheena the wedding coordinators help. Everything was organised to a fabulous standard and despite my millions of emails she didn't get sick of me and was happy to email pictures and explain thoroughly. We were so lucky to have...
