Tir na nOg & Harmony Fields

Relaxing Nature and Animal Experiences

Tir na nOg is a relaxing courtyard centre just a 10-minute drive from Loch Lomond Waterfront. Located near Balfron and Drymen, on the edge of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. It offers holistic therapies, runs events and workshops, and has a cafe, shop and woodland walk. Harmony Fields Animal Sanctuary on site provides relaxing nature activities, such as therapeutic animal encounters, mindfulness and meditation, forest bathing and music sessions. So providing a relaxing haven, away from the hustle and bustle.

Tir na nOg Holistic Centre

Named after the Celtic Otherworld, Tir na nOg is a relaxing centre, offering a range of holistic therapies, events and workshops.

The Tir na nOg shop stocks a wide range of holistic products. And the cosy Soup Dragon Cafe serves up delicious soups, sandwiches, desserts and cakes, hot and cold drinks. With options for all, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.

In addition, there is a beautiful woodland walk, with winding paths, tall trees and wild flowers, which is very calming and peaceful.

Tir na nOg is also the venue for the annual Scottish Wild Food Festival, which celebrates wild food and foraging.

Harmony Fields Animal Sanctuary

Harmony Fields Animal Sanctuary, within the Tir na nOg grounds, is home to rescued animals such as horses, ponies, goats, pigs, sheep, rabbits and guinea pigs.

The sanctuary offers private animal experiences and hands-on family sessions, to meet all the rescued animals, or with a particular animal. You can also sponsor an animal of your choice. At certain times of year, such as Christmas and Halloween, they have themed sessions and animal trails. These are great fun for all the family.

All profits go towards supporting the rescued animals and providing subsidised sessions for vulnerable people.

Find out more on the Harmony Fields Facebook page, the online shop and sessions booking page.

Testimonials

  • Outstanding location

'The location is outstanding - right on the edge of Loch Lomond with private water frontage and beaches. As a location for exploring, again this rates very highly. We easily accessed central Glasgow by train from nearby Balloch and also explored Stirling (particularly the castle and Wallace memorial), the Falkirk Wheel and even Perth and Pitlochry by car. It is a very peaceful place, which can only be disturbed on occasion by your neighbours but with the Slumber Charter in place, we had absolutely no problems overnight.'
  • A magical getaway

'It is not at all a surprise that you are fully booked.  If there is one place in the world we would like to be this summer, that place is Loch Lomond Waterfront Lodges, and I’m sure the only people who don’t share this passion are those, who simply have never been there. What a magical getaway and a retreat you have created! Thank you for that.'
  • Everything was more than perfect

'Everything was more than perfect, more than what we can ask for. And the view priceless, the whole stay was priceless, so thank you ever so much, hope to see you soon.'
  • 40th celebration

'My husband and I came here to celebrate my 40th birthday and we truly had a magnificent time. There was everything that you needed in your accommodation even washing liquid and conditioner for the washing machine. The hot tub and steam room were a real highlight as well as the living log fire.'
  • Such a beautiful setting

'Myself and my partner recently stayed in Drummond Lodge (from 21-24 Feb) and we just wanted to say thank you so much for a lovely stay. We loved our lodge, it was like a home from home, and we really didn’t want to leave! It was spotlessly clean and in such a beautiful setting. All the staff we met were really friendly. We also loved Balmaha, what a wonderful village. So thank you very much! We are the couple that took Flynn for a walk and we took this photo of him... we thought you’d appreciate a copy. Thanks once again...
