What tours are on offer?

Scotland’s Wild has a huge array of tours available, all of which are worth doing. From here at Loch Lomond, the most easily accessible (and yet still brilliant) tours are:

Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park

You can book this tour to take off from Balloch, a 30-minute bus journey away from Loch Lomond Waterfront.

The journey includes a hike around the waterfront, followed by a trip to see where the Highlands and Lowlands come together. You’ll experience impressive views over some of the islands on Loch Lomond and see across the Inchailloch nature reserve. The journey will then head towards Aberfoyle (which is the fairy capital of the UK!) and you will make your way into the dramatic landscape of the Trossachs. Once there, you’ll get the chance to meet some of the beloved Highland Cows that inhabit the area. This is all followed by a drive through to some stunning waterfalls in the northern section of the national park, before ending in Luss, an historic Viking village.

Standing Stones, Inveraray Castle, Kilchurn Castle & Highlands of Scotland

Also leaving from Balloch, this trip takes you to multiple Scottish sites of history, allowing you to explore two castles, a fort, and the famous Standing Stones.

The trip will start with a drive along Loch Lomond, allowing you to enjoy the views as you travel west towards Argyll. Your first stop will be to see the castle of Inveraray, where you’ll be able to learn all about the history of the Dukes of Argyll. From there, you’ll travel along Loch Fyne, and you will get to see the Dunadd Fort. Afterwards, you’ll be taken to the Standing Stones, where you can relive Outlander scenes. The journey will then take you to Kilchurn Castle, before exploring the dramatic Trossachs and heading back home.

Glencoe & Highlands of Scotland & Waterfall Walk

Taking off from Balloch, this tour with Scotland’s Wild boasts not only beautiful highland scenery, but waterfalls, a moor, and a trip to Glencoe.

The journey will begin by travelling along the western shore of Loch Lomond, where you’ll travel north towards the Highlands. Once there, you’ll experience a sudden change in scenery as mountains begin to grow around you and glens and streams appear. You’ll see a wonderful pine forest, and some truly incredible waterfalls that will blow your socks off! That will be followed by a walk along the West Highland Way, and then a trip towards Glencoe. Then there’ll be more waterfalls and the tranquil scenery of Rannoch Moor, before you head to Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.

Book a journey with Scotland’s Wild when you stay with us, and really get to know the wonders of the beautiful Scottish Highlands. Walk and explore, then finish your day relaxing in one of our chalets, huts, or lodges. A holiday you will cherish for years to come.
