Take to the water

One of the most pleasant ways to see all the beauty of Loch Lomond is to take to a boat. There are many different options for sailing Loch Lomond, including a ferry, speedboat or tour. So for those looking to get into the water themselves, there’s wakeboarding, paddleboarding and canoeing.

Of course, if you would rather relax on the shore and do a spot of Loch Lomond fishing, there’s plenty of opportunity to try and catch a big ‘un. The largest pike ever caught in Scottish waters came from Loch Lomond, back in 1947. Weighing an astonishing 47 lbs 11 oz, it remains the fish to beat!

Testimonials

  • Outstanding location

'The location is outstanding - right on the edge of Loch Lomond with private water frontage and beaches. As a location for exploring, again this rates very highly. We easily accessed central Glasgow by train from nearby Balloch and also explored Stirling (particularly the castle and Wallace memorial), the Falkirk Wheel and even Perth and Pitlochry by car. It is a very peaceful place, which can only be disturbed on occasion by your neighbours but with the Slumber Charter in place, we had absolutely no problems overnight.'
