Why not visit the Loch Lomond Shores 2015 Spring Fest Food and Drink Festival on the 4th and 5th April?
Building on their popular annual food and drink festivals held each September, our friends at Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch, are holding a spring time festival to celebrate the best of Scottish cuisine, to celebrate the Year of Food and Drink in Scotland.
The festival is free to attend and there is plenty to see and do once you are there. Apart from visiting the amazing food stalls, sampling the goods, chatting to the producers, testing the ciders, ales and teas, listening to music and browsing the crafts, there will also be a number of free activities. From foraging and bushcraft sessions to science and food experiments and live cookery demonstrations, there is plenty to entertain the whole family.
Loch Lomond Shores is conveniently located just over ten miles away in the small town of Balloch and is an ideal place to spend the day. Visitors can have fun on the segways, do a bit of retail therapy at Jenners visit the Bird of Prey Centre or explore the Loch Lomond Sea World Centre. Balloch Castle Country Park is also a stones throw away and is ideal for dog walks and picnics. In the park you can explore the Fairy Glen, Chinese Garden, Pleasure Grounds, Quarry Pond, Kitchen Garden, Secret Garden, Woodlands and Parklands.
